Luisa Valenzano is a figurative artist from Casamassima (BA). After the studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari, she participated and won in different national and international competitions, such as the third prize at the national contest “Santa Croce 40 anni dopo” in 2006, where she exhibited her work inside the monumental complex of Santa Croce in Firenze; the first prize at the “Colori in emersione” exhibition in Aversa (CE) in 2008; the second prize at “Alda Merini e Guido Bertuzzi” contest in Milan in 2010 and the first prize at Tian Qui Art Contest also in Milan in 2011. She has four personal exhibition under her belt. Among her other participations are mentioned: “Incontrarti – Le Proposte del Premio Vasto” at Palazzo D'Avalos in Vasto (CH) in 2007 and the International exposition “Human Rights#Memento” at the Fondazione Opera Campana dei Caduti in Rovereto (TN) in 2014.
In 2015 she was invited to participate at the sacred art project on a new iconography of Saint Anne “Credere la Luce”, with the realization of an altar piece for the Chiesa di Sant'Anna in Giulianova (TE), sponsored by the Italian Episcopal Concerence (CEI): the work is now part of the collection of the Museo d'Arte dello Splendore in Giulianova.
In 2017 she was selected at the LXI Premio Basilio Cascella in Ortona (CH), held at the Biblioteca Diocesana S. Domenico; the Premio Michele Cea in Milan, held inside the Spazio Seicentro and the “Ronzii – Arte Urbana in subbuglio” event, held at the Stazione Leopolda in Pisa.
In these days she has been invited to exhibit together with other female artists at the contest “La mente artistica – giovani donne artiste a confronto” inside the Pio Sodalizio dei Piceni in Rome and at the “Lungo il confine” event, held at the Teatro Lux in Pisa.
