Judith Nangala Crispin is a visual artist and poet living in the NSW Southern Tablelands and a descendant of the Bpangerang people of the Murray River.

She spends part of each year living and working with Warlpiri people in the Tanami desert. In 2021 she rode 11,000 km to the desert and back on her motorcycle, with her dingo X Moon on the back.

Judith has published two collections of poems and images, The Myrrh-Bearers (Sydney: Puncher &Wattmann, 2015), and The Lumen Seed (New York: Daylight Books, 2017). Her third book, The Dingo’s Noctuary, will be published in 2022. She is a member of the Oculi collective and the 2021 Musica Viva Artist in Residence.
