About this artwork
This piece is one of four in my series this year focusing on the juxtaposition between abstraction and naturalistic rendering of the human form.
I have been obsessed with observation and representation of the raw human figure for many years and it has led me to attempt pieces that aim to describe the overlap in my own personal creative "sight" concerning this representation.
This overlap is shown through my own un-biased, naturalistic rendering of the human form and its eventual breaking apart and shaped back together through cubism and abstract expressionism.
